Viermie K is a Sami cultural policy network that works to strengthen the professional cultural life in northern Sweden.
The purpose of the network is to promote understanding and work to strengthen the entire Sami cultural infrastructure at regional and national level. This is achieved through collaboration with the Sami Parliament in matters of Sami cultural policy. Furthermore, Viermie K will act as a conversation partner with stakeholders in both the Sami and Swedish cultural world.
Viermie K was founded in 2019 by Aejlies, Giron Sámi Teáhter, the Sami Association in Stockholm, the Gaaltije Foundation, the Såhkie Umeå Sami Association and Tjállegoathe 2019.
